Blood Orange Cranberry Sangria

Yield: 6 servings

Serving Size: 1/6th recipe

Prep Time: 10 min

Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle Pinot Grigio or other light white wine*
  • 3 blood oranges, squeezed
  • 8oz lime flavored club soda
  • ½ cup fresh cranberries 
  • 8-12 drops liquid stevia
  • Sage leaves or rosemary sprigs for garnish

Method:

  1. Pour the wine into a large pitcher and add the freshly squeezed juice. Add the club soda, cranberries and stevia and stir. Pour into ice-filled glasses and garnish with sage or rosemary.

*We use Dry Farm wines which are sugar-free, lower in alcohol and calories. Nutrition information varies depending on the wine used and the amount of juice yielded. Our calculations are just on 5oz of Dry Farm Wine.

Caramel Apple Wine Spritzer

Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients:

Method:

  1. Add the wine to chopped apple into a pitcher and stir well.
  2. Mix equal parts Lakanto and cinnamon on a small plate. Wet the rim for 6 glasses (or rub the rims with apple slices) and dip into the mixture to coat the top of the glass.
  3. Add ice to each glass and pour wine mixture on top. Garnish with cinnamon sticks.

*We use Dry Farm wines which are sugar-free, lower in alcohol and calories. Lakanto syrup contains 11 sugar alcohol carbs per 2 tablespoons. These do not affect blood sugar and therefore are not counted in our nutritional information.

Cranberry Rhubarb Bubbly Rose

Yield: 12 servings

Cook Time: 10 min 

Ingredients:

  • 2 bottles rose wine*
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup Lakanto Golden Sweetener
  • 1 cup fresh organic cranberries
  • 3 stalks rhubarb, sliced
  • 2 limes, sliced
  • ¼ cup fresh mint leaves
  • 16oz club soda
  • Fresh cranberries for garnish

Method:

  1. Heat the water and sweetener to a boil in a medium pot until sweetener dissolves. Add the cranberries and rhubarb and simmer for 5 minutes. Strain.
  2. Combine the wine and cranberry/rhubarb simple syrup in a large pitcher. Squeeze in lime juice and stir in mint leaves. Pour into glasses about 2/3 full, topping with seltzer and adding ice, if desired. Garnish with a few fresh cranberries in the glass.

*We used Dry Farm wine, which contains no sugar and is lower in carbs, calories, and alcohol than regular brands. Nutrition information varies depending on the wine used and the amount of fruit yielded in the simple syrup. Our calculations are just on 5oz of Dry Farm Wine.

Spiced Wine in a Slow Cooker

Yield: 10 servings

Prep Time: 10 min

Cook Time: 2 hrs 

Ingredients:

  • 2 bottles red wine, like Cabernet*
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup Lakanto Golden Sweetener
  • ½ cup spiced rum
  • 2 navel oranges, sliced
  • 6 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 teaspoon whole cloves

Method:

  1. Whisk together the wine, water, and sweetener in a slow cooker set on high. Add remaining ingredients and stir. Heat for 1½-2 hours, or until warm. 
  2. Serve warm with a cinnamon stick garnish.

Boozy Egg Nog Latte

Yield: 1 serving

Ingredients:

  • 1 organic pasteurized egg yolk
  • 8oz brewed or instant coffee, light roast
  • ½ cup lite canned coconut milk
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Stevia, or sweetener of choice, to taste
  • 2oz dark rum

Method:

  1. Wash the eggshell. Crack and discard the white. Place egg yolk in a blender.
  2. To a small pot, add the coffee, coconut milk, nutmeg, vanilla and sweetener and heat (don’t boil).
  3. Turn blender on with yolk for 10 seconds. Turn off, add the coffee mixture and rum and blend on low, then high, until frothy. 
  4. Pour into a mug and enjoy. Feel free to add a few tablespoons of a dairy-free whipped cream.

Grapefruit-Pom Rosemary Cocktail

Ingredients:

  • 1 grapefruit
  • 2oz vodka or gin
  • 1 tablespoon fresh pomegranate seeds 
  • 2 fresh rosemary sprigs, plus additional for garnish 
  • 3oz Grapefruit-flavored sparkling water, for topping

Method:

  1. Freshly squeeze the grapefruit into a shaker. Add the vodka or gin, pomegranate seeds, and rosemary. Muddle by twisting down on a muddler a few times.
  2. Add ice and sparkling water. Shake, then strain into an ice-filled glass. Garnish with extra rosemary and pomegranate seeds.

Low Carb Moscow Mule

  • 2oz vodka
  • 6oz Zevia Mixer Ginger Beer flavor
  • Juice from ½ a lime
  • 8 mint leaves
  • Ice 

Method:

  1. Add everything but ice to a glass and muddle. Add ice and enjoy.
